Case Study: The Greenhouse

The Greenhouse is an eco-friendly business centre, based in Annfield Plain, Stanley. Our surveyors completed a comprehensive scan of the building’s elevations, roof structure and surrounding landscape which in turn allowed for the team to produce the extensive 3D model.

Case Study: Centre for Process Innovation (CPI)

Elvet Chartered Surveyors were successfully appointed as the NEC Site Supervisor by the Centre for Process Innovation Ltd. (CPI) to help deliver a £5m, National Centre for Healthcare Photonics (NCHP) Design & Build Project.

Case Study: Derwentside Homes

Castle Court is a state-of-the-art, independent living scheme for the over 55’s. The development brought together three buildings – all undergoing major modernisation and renovation and combined to create one stunning new development. Elvet Construction Consultants acted as the Strategic Project Manager for Derwentside Homes to oversee their HCA Affordable Homes programme.

Case Study: Derwentside Homes

Derwentside Homes appointed Elvet Construction Consultants to conduct a review and detailed analysis of their schedule of rates for repairs and maintenance. The main aim was to establish whether costs were appropriate and offered value for money.

Case Study: St Annes C of E Primary School – Nursery

Elvet Chartered Surveyors were approached to prepare the tender documents to select a preferred contractor for works at St Anne’s Church of England Primary School and act as the Contract Administrator during the post contract stage.

Case Study: Spennymoor Town Council – Repairs & Maintenance

Elvet Chartered Surveyors were engaged to formalise a procurement strategy to deliver repairs for Spennymoor Town Council’s commercial and community buildings.

Case Study: Framwellgate Peth

Elvet Chartered Surveyors were brought in as NEC3 Project Managers for Durham County Council’s scheme to improve pedestrian access to Durham Railway Station.

Case Study: Hallgarth Street

A private developer wished to transorm an old Methodist Church within Sherburn Village to provide new housing. The scheme required the demolition of the former Church prior to the construction of new houses. The developers main requirement was to maximise the potential of the site within local planning rules, providing attractive modern housing, whilst adapting methods to reduce the overall construction programme.

Case Study: Code for Sustainable Homes & Home Quality Mark assessment

Elvet Chartered Surveyors are licensed BREEAM Code for Sustainable Homes Assessors, offering pre-assessment guidance, design review, design stage and post-construction assessment. Our surveyors are qualified Home Quality Mark assessors and can provide consultation on how to achieve this accreditation at any stage of the pre-development stage.

Case Study: Energy stock profiling

We were commissioned to validate Derwentside Homes’ existing energy profile database and update the system to ensure it complied with current regulations. To guarantee the successful delivery of this project we were required to liaise with all key internal stakeholders to obtain the information required to produce an accurate dataset.

Case Study: Villa Real Bridge Realignment

Elvet Construction Consultants were appointed as the NEC Project Manager and Site Supervisor to deliver the £2.4m Villa Real Bridge Realignment Project on behalf of Durham County Council.

Case Study: Livin

Elvet were appointed by social housing provider livin as the Project Manager to deliver their Asset Management Strategy for 2011-16. This would outline the short to long-term future for their assets, which complemented and helped shape the company’s overall business plan.
