Background
St Annes Church of England Primary School, Warwick Road, Bishop Auckland wished to extend their Early Tears Foundation Stage with the introduction of a new onsite nursery provision. The school had identified existing classrooms and storage areas that could be combined to create the space required.
Project Description
Clive Elsdon Building Design was appointed by the school to produce the designs for the proposed modernisation works. Clive approached Elvet Chartered Surveyors to prepare the tender documents to select a preferred contractor to complete the works and act as the Contract Administrator during the post contract stage.
MGM were selected the preferred principal contractor to deliver the works.
Elvet worked closely with the school and MGM during the works to ensure that they facility was suitable for the end users and remained within the budget constraints. The scheme was delivered within budget and on time allowing the school to start offering nursery places on site.
